Performing Arts facilities at Olivet College 

 Margaret Upton Conservatory of Music at Olivet College, the home of the Performing Arts Department.  This building contains several classrooms, smart classrooms, two large ensemble rehearsal spaces, 120 seat recital hall, faculty offices, state-of-the-art computer music lab, music education lab, and over 10 practice rooms with upright and grand pianos.

The Oaks Theatre which seats approximately 120 and where our theatre and musical productions occur. This historic building contains dressing rooms, costume shop, scene design shop, and sound and light booths.  This intimate performance space is ideal for everything from Mozart operas and Shakespeare tragedies, to avant garde modern performance art and performances by our own Jazz Band.

One of the grand piano practice rooms in the Upton Conservatory. This particular room contains a Steinway which students may use.  Other practice rooms contain uprights and are available to majors and non-majors for unlimited practicing.

Students at work in the Computer Music Lab in the Upton Conservatory. This state-of-the-art facility is open to all music majors and minors.  All music classes require work time in the lab and we also offer technology class geared specifically for musicians.

The Upton Recital Hall in the Upton Conservatory, a venue for chamber music and solo performances by our students, faculty, and guests.
